Giving thanks

...for the Thanksgiving eve reunion at the local bar. Who will be in attendance?! More importantly, what should I wear?

I really like seeing everyone, but I can't deny the awkwardness that comes with these sorts of gatherings. It's weird seeing people that you went to high school with so many years ago. So much time has passed and most have done so much but there is usually something that still connects us.

The older I get, the more I realize that you don't have to deal with people's bullshit. In high school, it seemed like everything little thing meant something big. I loved that idea of feeling everything and being passionate about everything, but it's really all too much. I know that only a few things are really worth stressing over.

Honesty is always worth something though, that hasn't changed. If people are honest, does that mean we can always trust them? Not sure.

Anyway, I hope the little reunion is exciting and bullshit free. It'll be exciting because we are all still hopeful/fun youths. Bullshit free because we've grown up enough to realize the fault of our ways (sometimes).

8K on Thanksgiving morning in the north so keeping it sober for the night. I might be the only one.

These are good...

Come for the crack

I did half of it. 7AM start. I froze. PRed by more than 3 minutes so it wasn't a complete waste. Someone put a marathon t-shirt on the Rocky statue. HA!
Back to the books.

with some help from an old friend

My thoughts after the election.*

Thanks to a creative friend for the manifestation of my ideas into an image. He also added to it and made it even funnier. So props to him.
